This website is a testimony to the problems Canadian Student Loan borrowers experienced from approximately 1996 to 2008 and until their loans were paid off.

The privatization of the Student Loans system by the Chretien and Martin Liberal governments broke the system and defaulted thousands of borrowers who were trying to pay their loans. There were even stories of suicide due to the harassment of borrowers.

Read the report that I prepared back in 2007 here. Canada Student Loans-The Need for Change Fortunately the new Conservative government at the time revamped the program and fixed the system for new borrowers, but borrowers under the previous program were left with ruined credit and continued harassment from debt collectors.

I call on the Canadian Government to apologize to the borrowers affected by this fiasco and make amends.

Unfortunately the Liberal government is again clobbering the Education system with their upcoming changes to International Student Visas. Yes, there's a problem, but instead of a well thought out plan, they have pulled the emergency brake on the train causing a derailment. This has introduced unprecedented instability for both private and public education institutions who serve both international and local students.

Universities can't plan. I've heard of courses being cut because the government has no process in place for universities to send the newly required acceptance letters to the government.

This means that students who have been accepted can not attend courses that start in the summer 2024 semester. With cut sections, current Canadian students will have trouble getting courses, and may have to switch to part-time which changes their enrollment status and might trigger repayment of their loans or ineligibility for funding. I've seen this before. It wreaks havoc on the student loan borrowers.

Again, the Liberal government has messed up the education environment. Will the new system needed in a rush for the acceptance letters be the new Arrivecan scandal?

I call on the government to implement a slower phased in approach and delay the requirement of the acceptance letters until a process is in place to submit these letters.

This is the story of how I got my life back with John's help:

I took out a student loan of $45,000 with RBC while I was a grad student because my research funding at school dried up. Unfortunately my degree took a very long time and did not go as well as I hoped. By late 2008, I could no longer make payments and RBC threatened to sue me. Everybody on this forum can imagine what it feels like to have reached this point.

Panicking, I searched for information online and found John's CFW Group. In fact, I could find no other option at all, so I took a leap of faith and borrowed money in order to hire him. At first I was relieved, but as the years went by I couldn't help but get anxious once in a while. What if my sense of security with John was completely false? What if I'm just burying my head in the sand and the problem will always be there?

So I emailed John often just to know that he was still working on my case, and that nothing was wrong. He always responded as quickly as he could and reassured me. If I had any specific question, he always answered it in detail.

Over these years I found one job then I was out of work again. I really had no idea how everything will turn out for me. Life had enough worries even without this giant loan issue looming in the back. It was hard to believe the loan will ever get resolved.

Then all came together this month! Today I received a letter from RBC that states my debt will be zero once my settlement payment is cleared in a few days. John saved me over $50,000!!! It was nothing short of a miracle. I literally feel I'm breathing easier everyday while this sinks in slowly.

My case took almost FOUR years. These years were not easy. But in the end, John told me that I only got an incredible deal because of my patience. I never pushed him to settle quickly at all cost, I waited. Time was actually to my advantage. His methods really worked.

You know, it's hard to face any other problem in life while you have a gigantic loan that you cannot pay. All the threats, the phone calls, the letters paralyze you. But now I can finally face my life again, I can finally hope to make something out of it instead of hiding in a corner in fear.

Words cannot describe my relief right now. John knows what he's doing, trust him to get you out of trouble!
