I think I've reached a point where, legally, my debt is no longer sueable. But, the collection agents still send me their stupid letters. I still feel, at times, I've done something wrong. All I did was try to succeed. It didn't work out well. There was the unemployment, and the emotional breakdown. There's the fear that the laws will change in the future to come get me down the road. Christ.

Things are working out okay now. Are we all just supposed to live day by day? Should I forgive myself for not having paid off all my debt?(Did manage a fair chunk of it even with all the emotional turmoil.)

Friggin' country. I think of the boomers who graduated from school who owed a couple hundred dollars and had a list of corporations to go work for immediately after school.

Why can't we all agree the economy sucks and just try and inject a little mercy?

Because as civililization collapses we return to feudalism and bondage.  It's just re-packaged.  "Lords" and "serfs" just become "corporations" and "employees"  (or worse)

Look around you, and compare to about the second century AD of the fall of the Roman Empire.  It's Bread and Circuses all over agan!
