I received notice from RBC that my BC Student Loan is past due.  Which was a complete surprise to me because it's set up by auto debit.  They take it out of my account every month.  I've checked my account and no debits were unsuccessful.

The first time I called them the rep put me on hold after I had explained this to them.  When she came back she told me the the monthly payment had been raised but that was an error on RBC's part and was going to get it fixed.

I've called twice since then and both times was told there is still a past due amount owing.  I then had to explain the situation again and they told me it's being put under investigation.

I'm really frustrated that they raised the payments without even notifying me.  I'm also really surprised that just increase the auto debit. I've just been granted interest relief on the Direct Lend portion of my BC Student Loans and am applying for RAP for my Canada Student Loans and am concerned this is going to delay interest relief on the RBC portion.

This is a major problem. Stay on top of it and document everything, who you spoke with, etc. Let me know how it goes. If it doesn't get fixed I can point you in the direction of someone who has to look it at the RBC level.
