Hello,

I have a student loan in repayment.

I applied to repayment assistance plan in Ontario for an Ontario-Canada Integrated loan.  I declared a certain income.  They asked for proof of income after the month is complete.  I am making under 20,000$ and my job is variable - I never know how many hours I can work during the week.

If I declared I will make a certain income and then when I show proof of income and have made more (say a few hundred - due to increased availability of hours) - what will occur ?

Thank you.

I imagine that since it is now April, you probably already have the answer to this question. But in case you don't, or for anybody else, the answer is no. Whether you over/understate your income when you are applying, if proof of income is asked for then they will always go by that amount, and you will not be penalized in any way.
