Called in to cancel my Scotia bank credit card.   Sears sold their card to Scotia... I never would have applied for a Scotia bank card based on what I have seen here......

So the telephone rep ask me  "Why do you want to close your account?"

I said "Because I witnessed how Scotia treated student loan borrowers, how they lost information, and had such a negative impact on people's lives! I don't want to have anything to do with Scotia bank!"

The telephone operator then said "Sir, I apologize for that.  Your account is now closed"

I don't think the telephone operator understood what she was apologizing for.....
