I am in a strange situation where I live in Japan permanently. *I am Canadian.

I know now that I need to live in Canada for the RAP for the Canadian student loan BUT, I can not find any resident requirements for the Alberta student loan.

My question is can I apply for the Alberta student loan RAP if I live in Japan?

I am pretty confused because I read indirectly that residency is not a requirement.

I can not find a direct reference to that if I do not live in Canada I can not apply for the RAP.

Any clarification would be a godsend.
