Last week I received a letter from HRDC collections. To make an
excruciatingly frustrating story less rant-worthy, I'll just say HRDC was being unresponsive. They still are, but I hope to change that. But last week, rage built up and I spewed a few rants in here (under the "Urgent Help Needed" board). I noticed the rage boiled up just when I felt I lost control. Now I know how a collection agent feels. After blowing my top and writing about it here, I hopped on my bike and pedalled the rage away. 20 km later, I was ready to approach the problem rationally. I noticed the first thing that goes when I become irrational is the warning system in your head that tells me I'm being irrational. So, when I feel ready to sail over the edge, I know to burn that off that energy with some kind of physical activity. Starve the furious process before it takes hold. HRDC is a frustrating beast. So, sorry about the rants. I'll try to keep my head in the future. |
